Anyone have any experience with sdd to ide adaptors? Working or waste of money?

Upgrading comp, and now that ide is dead, I ether try my luck with adaptors or throw old storage hdd's away.

i've used chinese ide to sata adaptors, they work but i just used it to transfer some files from an old hdd. Wouldnt use it permanently in a system because your gonna cap your transfer speed.

No shit. I have my installation on sata, but I've old disks that work just fine, and I'd rather spend the cash needed for new disks on better cpu.
