Not really, no. It's an age old problem that an attacker needs to succeed just once, while the defender needs to defend against all possible attacks.

There's just no way to have some kind of turn key privacy solution. You, the user, pretty much have to understand, on a fairly comprehensive level, what breaches your privacy and security.
And the worst for a normie is that you usually need the people you interact with to care almost as much. End to end encryption for instant messaging and email only works if the other end is doing it too.

I don't mean to be too discouraging. There are some best practices you could follow to at least stop the casual scraping of your data.
Don't put identifying information you don't have to on social media profiles. Have as few social media profiles as you can. Try not to use the same nick in any places (forums, etc) where you have to sign up, and don't display emails, to prevent people from assembling information from multiple sources.

There are a few tools you can use to try and prevent advertisers from tracking you around the web, but again, the better they work, the more hassle they add to everyday activities. Try installing the browser add on uMatrix, for instance, and see how easy it is doing things with the default strict permissions.

Yes, absolutely. It's well known that the FBI and NSA maintain lists of people that engage in "suspicious or subversive" activity, including using privacy tools like those.

Note that when using TOR (or anything on I2P that bridges to the clear net) you need to make sure that your encryption will still be maintained outside the exit node, or you're setting yourself up for a guaranteed MitM attack.

As for how paranoid you should be, that depends on what you're doing and where you are. If you're in Egypt or Saudi Arabia and criticizing the government, you probably want to be extremely paranoid. If you're in the US, as long as you're not actually communicating with people about building bombs or shooting people, or cheese pizza, you're probably not having an issue.
