I'm sick of Ubuntu and Mint. Also I'm a newbie to Linux. I want to try new distros, so what's your favourite distro and why so?

Tinycore.

NSA hates this distro.
>>
>>57001795
go nuts and make isos of every distro.

everytime i distro hop i like to check out the state of all the major distore, eg. ubuntu, debian, fedora and open suse.

try em' all before you get hooked on arch
>>
>>57001883
distore = distros..
>>
>>57001795
Antergos because it handles itself most of the time but if something goes wrong I have a ton of documentation to fix it.
>>
>>57001852
Yes, it looks really hateable
>>
bet you havent tried this http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/netboot/16.04.1/

its kinda like the diy distros in that you select your stuff on top of the base
>>
Gentoo.

-high user control
-cflags
-use flags
-many software can be installed with multiple versions. the eselect utility allows you to choose defaults for a lot of these (like gcc, perl etc) with ease
-multilib if you want, no multilib if you don't
-no systemd forced down your throat
-excellent cross platform development options with crossdev

Void linux. Autism friendly with unique and unnecessarily verbose package management commands.
>>

No systemd and a solid package system. Pic related. muh steam install
>>
I'm an Arch man because I feel that testosterone is overrated.
>>
>>57002739
Fuck, I should have put this on instead.

I installed Linux Lite a a few days ago (which is still a pretty nice distro), but this looks pretty dang nice.

Debian netinstall while self compiling everything, it takes fucking forever but I end up having the best system out there in the end, and I even found a way to use SysVinit instead of SystemD on Debian! I don't eve. use a package manager anymore, feels really fucking good
