I went ahead and sold my Nexus 5x to recoup some of the cost for my Pixel order (yeah, yeah, I’m a goggle fan boi). This meant I had to go a dig my old Nexus 5 out of drawer to use until the Pixel arrives.
Man, I forgot how great this phone is. Perfect size and form factor and really fast and responsive in all conditions while running stock Marshmallow.
It really makes my 5X experience for the past year seem kind of shit. The 5X display is dull and muted compared to the 5, the 5x was a also a freakin hot box that lagged hard while performing normal tasks like listening to music or browsing. None of this shit with the 5.
If it weren’t for the outdated camera and dying battery, I’d just keep using the N5 for another year.
Can we all agree that the Nexus 5 was the last and best true Nexus?

That's a nexus 5? I don't remember the sensors and camera looking like that.
I'd get a 5x if the screen was amoled. LCD on a meh battery phone is extremely short-sighted.

I love my Nexus 5. Sadly, I dropped it one time too many. Now I'm getting hardware screen issues. In response to this, I've gone ahead and preordered the Pixel base model as a replacement. It's been a sad week.

I've never had a Nexus 5 but what's the avarage SOT you guys get/got with it? It sounds like the battery was literally the only problem with that phone from what I've seen.

Wasn't this board about technology? Why all the fanboys? Over nothing really, the Pixel offers NOTHING at all over the 6P, the XL was just benchmarked below Samshits S7, a throughly better device.
