Is there any program like this (but free)?

nope
pretty comfy, but there's still no chart support

literally "free office": libreoffice
Google Docs, Libre Office
i recently ditched m$ in favor of libreoffice
after i dled newest office i tried to open some of my xls files from previous version - they wouldnt open, they only opened with libre, with basically intact structure and i could edit them and save them again so i stayed.
if you are on win stay with office if you are on any other system go with libreoffice

thank you all, im gonna try libreoffice!
Office 365 is free for students and teachers.
So if you have a .edu or .ac.uk e-mail you can get it for free. Alternatively you can buy a $10 key from ebay I think (some fags might try to sell you scripts with pirated versions - makes it's a key you can use on the microsoft website).
Office is irreplacable because none of the alternatives comes even remotely close to pic related.

just a heads up that "M$" doesn't read as clever or anything. it looks a little juvenile. it's certainly not the best possible form of whatever argument you're trying to make with it.

The whole point of MS Office and the only reason it still exists is its monopoly and format compatibility.
If you don't have a job where you exchange MS Office files with random people, you can use LibreOffice and you won't miss a thing.
>>56994119
That comes from the commie/NEET mentality that making money is bad.
>>56994204
What? Office and LibreOffice use the same filetypes (so does Google Drive).
People at my work use LibreOffice and Office interchangeably.
>>56994325
Compatibility between them is far from perfect.
>>56994325
For very basic shit maybe. Once you get a bit of an advance formatting going on, it goes to shit.
>>56994325
are the compatibility good now?
Some years ago, i tries to use Open office (there was not libre office) and it was a mess, some files came good, but others were a mess and you had to do major reformatting to make em look good on the opposite one

Such as?..

I fell for the cloud meme and need to pay one of the cloud jews for 1TB anyway, so instead of Dropbox or Gdrive, I chose OneDrive because it comes with Office too

Yeah you can just describe stuff dumbass.
Problem solving has gone to shit this century.

The icons are prettier that libreoffice, but its just a form of the same. Its 100% usable software as an office alternative.
Frankly I'd just get a cracked office version form a torrent.

>"describe stuff dumbass"
>you should narrate on your own in the middle of the lecture hall to your blocky computer running audacity, while at the same time, write notes on your yellow notepad at 20wpm with your terrible pen grip
Have you ever considered seppuku?

kill yourself niggers, there is NO reason for anyone to use openoffice. Apache bought it and stopped working on it with main developer moving to libreoffice.

Btw it was proved that writing notes is better than typing notes on a laptop
