>>
hi i did electronics 101
its a tricky question tho, but u can't foole me!
the top row r all transistors
everything else is a resistar
>>
leds, fuses, caps, resistors, mosfets, some ICs that i dont kno what they do
>>
who cares, i aint no engineer
>>
>>56983348
You shouldn't be using those shitty old ass voltage regulators.

They're inefficient as fuck and dissipate way too much heat.
>>
I see
Leds
Capacitors
Resistors
Diodes
Transistors
A relay
Logic gates in packages
A rectifier in a package
Voltage regulators
A crystal
A seven segment display
An optocoupler
A fuse
A small varistor

That's all, I guess.
>>
>>56983471
Perfectly good for low voltage applications.

That argument again, this is pure technology, that you have a twisted definition of tecnology doesnt apply here (graphic cards, headphones, wallpapers)

>>56983960
Depends on the application you are looking for, for exaple, sometimes
A capcitor, resistor and array transitor can make a trick
Sometimes a 780x is better
Demanding appplications use transformers
Etc.

I wanted to say low amp applications. Most of them work very well while dissipating low amounts of heat. They have low efficiency, of course.

For low voltage applications one should use an LDO, but those generally can' deal with a lot of power.

Alternatively, use efficiency masters switching supplies, but those give a shitload of noise most of the time. Shit for high frequency or low noise stuff.
For example, a computer mother board is powered by a switching power supply, but then has a shitload of linear regulators in there too.
>>
>>56983348
Reminder OP is a Luddite, there is something called a microcontroller that will do the SAME THING as hard coding a program with transistors by writing 50 lines of C or 300 lines of assembly
>>
>>56985311
But there is a microcontroller on his pic.

And it doesn't replace discrete transistors anyway.

>>56987414
Many consumer electronics are still through-hole, if that's what you're getting at. In small runs, it's still cheaper.

If you look around, you can still find some newly manufactured 32bit processors in through-hole varieties.

Just because it's not mass market and purchased at walmart & bestbuy doesn't make it 'old' boy.

Switching regulators are more noisy. LDOs are best for anything that needs a very stable power supply like audio amplifier or high resolution ADC.

Various transistors
A 27.140MHz crystal oscillator
LM358 dual op-amp
LM324 quad op-amp

I had to mess with that shit briefly in the electromagnetics part of my physics courses and not since. I find your demeanor kind of rude though. I helped electrical engineering students with their C homework that I found completely elementary. Very simple shit. Some of them are working as programmers now because there's far more jobs for programmers. I could show you source I've worked on that most of them couldn't even begin to deconstruct. Doesn't mean I'm better, we just studied different shit. So basically eat a dick.
