Mine with 6 tabs open.

Its just firefox in general. Its so shit at memory/cpu management.

I've been looking for replacement but chromium-based browsers are lacking in useful addons or features that I regularly use.

do you know how ram works? if boot android on 500mb ram phone it'll use 180mbs of ram. if you run android on 2gb ram phone, it'll use 1gb.

Meanwhile, Chrome uses less ram and is more responsive, faster, etc. While firefox with its 3-4GB is now crawling to load any pages
