I dont mean to hijack, but does anyone know of some sort of guide for gpu passthrough using any linux distro?

I want to run windows inside of linux for security, but have no idea how to start.

Why do some people who like Linux but also video games bother doing a passthrough to play games on a Windows VM when you can have a Windows host immediately run a Linux guest on startup and then just exit out of VM to play games?

control, in theory *nix OS are far more suited to that kind of task than windows is, however ive yet to have PCI-passthrough just work on me, personally, but my familiarity with the internals of linux is passing at best desu
