wrong, madvr is harder to configure because you have to navigate through a bunch of settings.
With mpv you just copy and paste into a text file.

It took me a lot less time setting up mpv. Plus mpv looks better to me and uses less resources.

One thing you may want to do, is create input.conf and paste

MOUSE_BTN3 add volume 2
MOUSE_BTN4 add volume -2

^this should be by default, only thing I don't like about mpv.
