Yeah, I'm at the point where I just buy ebooks if I really want them as well (although even that can be fucked up, I've had some turds from the official Amazon releases before). Like I said, most of my problems are with the god awful state of the ebook meme rather than the ereader per se.

Agreed, got a never updated r4 dsi and upgrading it to work took less than 30 seconds. Infinite game library with rom hacks still pouring in.

TubeHax lets me play original GB games.

You could pirate 3DS games as well with Sky3DS but honestly, the games are worth buying and retain value.

PB is much cheaper, but my dad has one and it's been pain in the ass. That think burned two adapters, used to freeze a lot, and overall feels like cheap shit...

Exactly. It's really a phenomenal system, hundreds and hundreds of good games. Even the GB/C emulators for the original DS are more than playable; my 2DS isn't hacked at all because my DS R4 does most of the emulators I need it to (no SNES), and I don't mind paying for 3DS games at all.
