They're not saying it's not going to install, they're saying if you're the kind of idiot who tries running the LTSB branch on hardware that hasn't had the chance to go through the Unstable/Testing development levels, they're not going to support you. Wait for the next LTSB for those features.

Except testing-unstable is only a week or two difference.

Ubuntu is a better metaphor:

Windows LTSB: Ubuntu previous LTS
Windows consumer: Ubuntu latest non-LTS
Windows insider: Debian testing. You certainly do *not* get packages as soon as they're uploaded in-house, so testing is a better metaphor than sid or arch
