Because that wouldn't make for one unit, and would only work when you place the keyboard/phone down. The biggest advantage of these keyboards is that you can type while walking without needing to look at the screen.

Is lack of RAM the only thing holding back the Droid 4? Can it still be used in the modern world after rooting and loading with a fresh ROM?

CPU is weak, display isn't even HD (this one shouldn't be a problem, but it's an fucking pentile), it's old in every way possible. However, i'm willing to bet that with some basic tweaks and, let's say, Jelly Bean, this device could be used comfortably as everyday music/phone/web browser.


If i would want to buy Droid 4 now, i'd buy Photon Q with sim mod instead. Photon Q is basically Droid 4 with proper, non-pentile display.
