Anyway I have a DSLR and always use high ISO and shutter speed values to avoid having to use a fucking tripod. You don't even get to use ISO values above 1600 on most phones so OIS is a must. In fact it's common knowledge that the only way to take a good photo on a smartphone is to either set the ISO to 1600 if no OIS or set the ISO to 100 if OIS is available. Guess which one looks better?

Yes, some people switch between platforms. A friend of mine went from iPhone to Android, my parents did the opposite. But there's no mass exodus from one to the other, just a pattern of one company dominating the new markets and both seeing diminishing returns in established ones. I don't use a tripod when I take photos you mong. This is why I love DSLRs so much, you can just up the shutter speed/ISO and images will always look good despite not using a fucking tripod.
