Are dehumidifiers a lie?
It has a small engine ( if you want to call it that?) inside a plastic case:
on one side it spins up to send wind out of the plastic case.. on the other side are rows of
overheating metal blades that produces drops of water that flows into a catcher, which is understandable... since its more heat, a smooth metal service and in a humid environment.
You see this collected water droplets and just assume it sucked that out of the air?
I dont see how this machine can actually do anything but waste electricity.
You should go learn some basic physics, anon.

Magnets, how do they work?
Completely ignoring physics and chemistry since its pretty clear you lack an understanding, I think I have an interesting question for you, OP. Where do you think the water is coming from?
It seems to me you believe the dehumidifier produces its own water without a source.
Considering I have a conservatory that gets SOAKED if I don't have one of these running they are most definitely not a lie.
