Because there is enough demand even at a high price
They are? When I bought my SSD 4 years ago it cost nearly a dollar a gig, now you can get them for about $.025-30 a gig. Price has dropped about 75%.
I really wish they'd make cheap low capacity SSD's. I'd like to buy up some $10-$15 40GB SSD's if they made them.

2.5 to 3 cents is a bit more than a 75% drop

>why isn't the price going down?
1tb SSD from Samsung for $300?
Are you high?
>>56930517
It is, slowly.
Also it will never drop unless SATA4 gets released.
And still will be $5-10 tops.
M2 SSDs will get cheap with the time tho.

Are you talking about USB sticks?

Give me silent storage. I want 8TB drives on the cheap. I'm more than willing to compromise write longevity and r/w performance. It's meant for storage after all. If I want to do work I'll just buy a quality one at a higher price.

The price isn't going down because normies don't all have nice SSD's yet.

heard evos are the shitty type of ssd, they dont last half aslong as the mrt or whateverthefuck the MXX one is.. they are the TXX ones which are shit teir.
Buy the good ones so that the good ones will drop in price instead of the shit teir ones.

There are some chink 32GB SSDs on Taobao that are around $15.
