Hello /g/, what is a good linux distro for old computers?
good ol pupper OS brings life back to any old PC
>>56919424
Ubuntu-mate is my go to. Work on a RPi so it should work on anything.
>>56919424
Read the fucking wiki.
Also, stop post blank image.
>>56919424
Depends how old, but puppyOS is probably what you're looking for.
>>56919424
Depends on what Computer model(s) we are talking about.
Debian LXDE worked nice but it was abit slow sometimes. Mind that all my PCs are just around the Win98 to WinXP's early stages.
>>56920190
it's a Fujitsu SCALEO 400
>>56919733
Noobuntu is so bloated
>>56919424
Any of them. It's your choice of WM/DE that really matters.
>>56920510
You just wasting electricity.
>>56920699
Fuck off.
>>56920720
why so rude
>>56920741
Because you're a twat.
>>56920510
Now look up your specs and then look at the requirements for the Linux Distros.

>Fujitsu SCALEO 400
Top tier technology in Bhutan.
>>56919424
u're mom
If you're going to go with an Ubuntu based distro go with Lubuntu.
>>56921011
Why do all these fucking "distros" exist when they're just Ubuntu with a different DE?
>>56921035
Because the target demographic for Ubuntu is incapable of switching de's after os installation.
>>56921081
Learning to change the DE is incredibly simple and a nice way to start getting familiar with the CLI

Lightdm is amazing isn't it?
>>56921566
No. Learning to install one using a package manager, you fucking dumbass.
I have a laptop I'd like to use just because the case is so awesome and the keyboard feels great.
Problem is it had a B800 processor and 2 gigs of ram. It runs like shit. Since I've comfortably ran Windows 7 and Ubuntu on 2 gig machines before I guess the problem is the "B800".
