LG G4, best camera producing the best images I've ever been able to capture, and all around the best smartphone I've ever used.

Just got a Galaxy S7 Active yesterday for free (was locked down with Google FRP) and I just bypassed the August 1 2016 security patches and now that it's been pwn3d it's all mine. Has a camera sensor that's supposedly f/1.7 so technically better than the f/1.8 the G4 has for low light shots but so far the images I've taken with it today aren't very impressive by comparison.

It's a great device though, the heartbeat/SpO2 sensor on the back is fucking cool to have around when needed (more often than not for some folks). Overall I'm happy with it and considering I got it free of any cost at all that just makes it even better.

But I'd trade it for a G4 right now if I knew the G4 didn't suffer from the bootloop issue, that's my only concern.

I went from years of iphones to an Xperia z3c

The phone itself is lovely but after almost two years is starting to die. The bottom touch buttons don't often work and I can't scroll down notifications from the top as the touch doesn't work there either when the phone is unlocked

Despite that, it's still my favourite

Bring this thing up to decent modern specifications and throw in Android, and I will suck your dick.

God damn I miss this thing, minus the year I was stuck with it while the hinges slowly deteriorated and whatever shit touchscreen technology was used at the time started going haywire.

Had heft, a keyboard, and didn't take up my whole pocket. The latter wouldn't be an issue if I didn't feel like I had to use a larger phone to get a half-decent battery these days.

Really, this was the best part of the Nexus One.

A shame that the storage was a joke, and so was the screen, and just about everything else.

Mine was in my pocket while walking on the beach, and some salt water got on it, totally fucking up the finish. Still worked well enough.

I will say the iPhone 3GS because it totally blew everything out of the water. Nothing at that time could come close to it, it was entirely unbeatable. Not a single phone could access the internet as easily as it could, nothing had such a screen, nothing functioned as well as it did. I remember being dumbfounded when I finally got mine. I traded it for a HTC Desire HD, running a processor almost twice as fast and other good shit but it was hopeless, it managed to lag doing the most simple shit imaginable. I regret changing phones so much.

But before the iPhone, before phones like that, the HTC TyTN was almost as good as it gets. It too was amazing, it had a big touchscreen and a fully capable net browser. It ran an OS that was totally unlike anything in phones of that era. The keyboard was a joy to use. It wasn't perfect, but it so far above all the nokias of that age.

God damn this phone was the champion of phones when I first went to college. Small, tough, and capable of basically everything that phones could do a the time. No lag, no overheating, battery was never a concern, and a vibration motor that drove the ladies wild. That phone was my bro, and I could just always rely on it. 100% of the time.

Nowadays phones are just any old commodity trash that needs to get replaced every two years.

The pen tile screen was kinda shitty, but you could tweak it to get better color representation.

The storage was slow compared to almost everything else, and it also had such little storage, that you could only realistically fit a few on there out of the box.

They implemented the "Move App to SD Card" feature after everyone shit their pants about it.

It was an OK phone, but by no means the best phone I've ever had.

Galaxy Nexus.

Beautiful phone, great screen, did everything I needed to.

I use my phones only for Music, Maps, Mails and Web.
Sold it to a friend who got his Note killed, for the price I bought it, who later got it stolen, switched to an Xperia Z in 2013, still using it. The resolution is nice but the colors are bland, viewing angles are plain bad, and waterproofing is just a gimmick, and now it doesn't even get the latest updates, my carrier locked the bootloader leaving me with no other options than have an unprotected phone. Now it's pretty tore down: the rubber around the plastic caches wore off, then I ripped them off because they get in my way when charging or putting a jack.

Considering a Nexus as my next purchase, although I feels it's a bit overkill for the 4 basic tasks I use my phone for, but updates are important to me.

I had my Palm Treo 700p passed down to me from my dad when I started university in 2008, at which point it was already two years old. I stubbornly held on to it until I graduated in May 2013, which is longer than I've kept any phone and probably longer than I will ever keep any phone. Bastard lasted me all through undergrad and my internship year, never skipped a beat, fucking loved this phone. By the end, Blazer was basically useless, email was almost unusable, and there had not been any new apps since about 2010. But it still texted, called and kept a calendar.

Strange enough I replaced it with a Blackberry Q10 as well. I just jump from one dead OS to another. Although right now I'm thinking of getting the Priv, which will be the first phone I own with a "modern" OS.

HTC M8 by far is the best phone i've used.

Using it right now to shitpost on the go.
Build quality is excellent, is still very fast, no lag at all, has the best stock android out there. Once it fell on a pool and after a few days in rice it was good like new.
I really dont care about the cammera, which is arguably it's only flaw.
I alsolove the size and the fact that it is 1080p, unlike the othr flagships ( and even HTC10) who fell with the 1440p and 4K meme screens on a 5-6" phone
Perfect phone for me.

>The Motorola Razer for pure design and battery life

>The Samsung Infuse for being one of the first smartphones that had a decent sized screen and just being a favorite of mine for rooting and custom builds
>Note 4 for being just a all around great phone feature and design wise.

Favorite has to be the Note 4 though. I wish Samsung didn't shit the bed so hard with the Note 7 or else I would have picked it up.

Hipsters would be the ones using some obscure Chinese phone, or some old pre-camera phone that you've probably never heard of, basically /g/

My rugged no1 phone is fantastic since I flashed it to factory settings and installed fdroid. I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. FOSS software is so much more functional and useful rather than being adware, malware, bloatware garbage.

Tbh the best phone I've had is the One plus 3 I have rght now. Being a GenZ I didn't really have a phone prior to 2009.
>>
>>56727187

Yeah and back in the day Nokia had same annoying user base like Apple today.
>>
>>56727811

Shit RF performance, shit earpiece/voice quality, dollar store calculator style membrane keyboard, horrible UI.

Found it, it's called motofone f3
>>
>>56727892

Still have it.

Display is kinda cool but phone is horrible, used it as my DD for half a year when I got sick of S60 Nokias.

Even basic phone functions where fucked up like mic had too low volume and shit like that.

HTC Dream, aka G1 is close, but my real favorite was the HTC Touch Pro 2. I wish they'd make a revised version with Android.

>looks like really thick phablet
>slide screen
>full keyboard, complete with numpad accessed by function key
>first phone with buttons on the back
>first phone where you flip it over and it automatically switches to rear extra set of speakers and omnidirectional microphone, which also does noise canceling during normal calls

Though in terms of style, the touch pro diamond was better looking.

>>56717750

Hell yeah it could bro. Best phone for a very long time
>>
ST27i, or "Xperia go".

Internally, it's a slow piece of shit with glitchy firmware. With CM it gets a little better.

But the main thing is that it survives like nothing else. I've dropped it out a pocket while biking at full screen, the screen corner was BARELY chipped, with no impediment to function whatsoever. It has survived for 3-4 years of relative abuse.

this, pretty solid phone. had to replace it once the rubber buttons started wearing off.
>>
>>56711902

I think I successfully run up to Android 6 on it, though it was slow as hell. Nevertheless Kitkat was running perfect.

>fully charge it

Apart from texting being a bit of a pain it was the perfect phone. How is this hipster tier? Getting your arsehole gaped by apple again is hipster tier

>mfw I have the exact phone with this exact same problem

I hope that's not an XT1039, since I can only find screens for XT1032s or some shit like that. AFAIK any Moto G screen is compatible except the screen contrast / colour might be slightly off or some shit like that.
>>
>>56728039

StarTAC 7760 by far.

I'd still be using a StarTAC if it weren't for the fact that there's only one extremely rare model that can be used on modern US networks, and it's just a matter of time until T-Mobile kills off their 2G like AT&T is doing.

Yes, but the main reason I have a phone at all is just in case of an emergency like a car breakdown. Maybe a few times a year I have some reason to talk to one of my parents over the phone.
