Is there some really lightweight Linux distro?
I mean, REALLY lightweight. Capable to work with 128 MB of RAM and still with modern software?
32 MB RAM?
4 MB RAM?
1 MB RAM?

Define "modern software". Some distros can run under 128 MB of RAM, I doubt any could run under 32 MB and run "modern software"

I mean the software maintained in the 2016 year after the birth of Christ our Savior.
Some Office Suite and browser to read 4chan would be great.

By the way, is Gentoo the only choice or there exist more such distros?

Browsers are memory hogs by definition.
/g/'s catalog page using appchan-x is ~1.5MB. Once parsed and loaded it should occupy around 5MB of RAM if not more just for the raw DOM. Once done parsing the DOM it must apply the CSS rules, which should increase the usage to 10-15MB tops. The page needs javascript, so the compiler/parser will take another 10mb plus whatever is needed for the bytecode/native code, but we're already talking about 30MB+ just for the page. I'm not even counting the memory leaks in the javascript. With the browser's UI and internal code we should hit around

*it should use around 70-80MB.
