Don't learn Java. The pajeet effect is real.
why are they ALL going to down?

I'd imagine that would be because large firms in any given area are likely to put up job offers at the same time to prevent their competitors from hiring the best people without competition (basically a prisoner's dilemma situation). This means we should see some months with sharp rises and falls in job postings instead of a more even distribution.
More languages
Among the popular languages, Javascript, C#, and C seems to be the best trio of languages to know for jobs. Java and PHP are trash. Why learn horrible industry languages like these if it won't even net you a job reliably? In that case you're better off learning something like Haskell or Lisp that will make you a more well-rounded programmer.

You know java really isn't that bad. I mean it's got issues but there are so many worse languages to use.

No way in hell JS is that low. Everyone seems be writing in it nowadays.
