I hope someone had a similar issue, I'm having trouble with my laptop, if it is connected to my lan for internet, it would become unresponsive after a while. You can click and move the mouse around but if you would run an application or program, it would not run it. I would notice this while browsing the web then suddenly the page would just load like someone suddenly pulled the lan and the computer is processing, not sure if you can picture my description.
I would run it on safe mode with networking and will not have problems surfing the net, the problem is I can't multitask and there is no sound for videos.
If I would start it without connecting it to the net it would run fine, but then I can't go online because of the unresponsive issue.
Could it be a LAN driver problem? a virus perhaps?
Has someone encountered this issue in the past? Hope someone can help me, thanks a lot!!!

I had the same problem before, everything returns to normal once you disconnect right?
What OS are you using? Could be just programs fetching updates, windows checking for updates, windows 10 spying on you. If you're on a Windows OS keep your task manager open and see if anything starts using too much memory. If a system service (like svchost) does this then your OS is probably infected by malware or something broke. Consider reinstalling it, or do as I did and switch to a linux based OS. (fixed all my problems)

I can run it fine if it's not connected to the net, if it is I can still surf but after a while it will become unresponsive, won't run any program I click, you can still move the mouse. I did do a virus scan a while back and it detected a trojan something file but it's deleted now. I can't multitask like this, it sucks. Using windows 7 64 bit right now

Looked some shit up since I've never come across this problem.
For most people it seems to either be a CPU or GPU overheating issue or some form of a virus.
Most other people having the problem either had weird shit installed that was locking everything up, or were running Vista.

Reinstall windows.
