all consumer electronics coming out are shit. Apple, Samsung, HTC, that chinese brand that copies Apple, Sony, all of them, and each of their softwares are also tailored for some and not for others, and this will always be the case.

So lets stop brandfagging like slaves and be productive. /g/ has changed a lot, before when gentoo was a light joke, no it wasn't a civil and justified community but at least there weren't trolls :( I want my safe space back. Somewhere nice people can converse after a good or bad day.

I seem to be holding a fucking fast Chinese smartphone computer that can do a ridiculous amount of computations while running for 10+h on a tiny battery, and I paid just a bunch over $150 for that. And it has a lot of sensors and transceivers and other stuff on top of it.

What again is shit about that? It's actually fucking crazy amazing.

It also doesn't have a strong enough LED flash to replace my dedicated torch for hiking yet.

That we have portable computers this powerful alone is fucking amazing.
That they also got a not "best of kind' camera and LED and gyro sensor and GPS receiver and transceivers and antennas for fairly sophisticated radio transmissions and a lot more attached doesn't make them actually worse.

If crazy amazing technology like that is "shit" to you, then perhaps you don't have what it takes to appreciate technology.
