Mac Pro is so out of date at this point, iPhone 10 is beating it in Geekbench single-thread.
Geekbench is shit

Sounds about right the mac bro is ancient and was slow on release
>>56643602
Wow the newest device designed to load web pases is faster at loading javascript than a 4years old device which wasnt optimized to load web pages!

> in single thread
> computer with 12 cores running in one thread
(you)

Not an argument

Program dependent
>Mac Pro hasn't been updated for 3 years
And, people still buy them!

>Not an argument
Ironically, neither is "not an argument"
>>56644332
Are computers in your local library the $3,000 computers that are on store shelves being sold as new right now?

>Comparing a 12 cores computer versus a single core using single cores bechmark,
You don't know shit about bechmarks, do you?
Next thing you are goint to tell me is that every phone is shit because a i7 beats them in benchmark.
>>56644425
yeah and like comparing different architectures is totally legit, right fellas? its not just don by clickbait tech journalist cancer, right??
>comparing a 12 core desktop 'enterprize' grade xeon towards a virtualized quadcore phone cpu
I shouldn't have to explain why this thread is retarded
>what is multicore processing for memory intensive compute
>what is loading facebook as quick as possible
Single core performance aside for a xeon CPU, Geekbench is shit
A phone should literally utilise peak performance with a single core, more so when you consider a ~30MB iOS application written in C#
Shit thread
Geekbench scores don't mean shit, it'll somehow end up being slow as molasses in real-world usage. Usually because nobody bothers optimizing shit anymore.
Try recording music or doing 3D animation on your phone
>trusting the whole geekbench score and not just the FP score
Oh my god, this cancerous meme has spread to the real world.
