i have a weird fetish for trying new browsers out. just wanted to bring this one to /g/'s attention and get y'alls openinion on it.
It is only available for desktop on Windows at the moment: http://polarityweb.weebly.com/windows.html
It comes with some nice built-in features such as tab sleeping, night mode, built-in proxy/vpn, privoxy, adblocking, picture-in-picture and more.
this might sound like a shill thread but im not telling you to install it and im not saying its good. i just wanted some opinions.
Sounds pretty good desu. What does it look like?

make sure you turn off "use web filter" in the "under the hood" section of settings. its pretty annoying, it thinks 4chan 'could be dangerous'.

>built-in vpn
So redirecting your traffic to their datamining servers
>[email protected]

I've been pretty happy with midori lately, what does this offer that midori doesn't? How lightweight is it?
Seems interesting, might use it if it comes out on Linux.

>Getting to the download link actually takes me in circles
>No information about the license
Are you trying to get me to install proprietary software?

It's one guy's fork of Chromium. That already makes people wary even when it's something cool like Otter Browser. Unless you like Google cock completely up your ass, never use Chrome/Chromium. If you must use a fork, use Iridium or unGoogled Chromium. If you want full functionality, use Chropera. If you're just plain autistic or want certain specific features, then Sleipnir, Cent Browser, and Kinza are for you amongst countless others.

Try out qutebrowser
>check out browser website
>nicely designed site overall
>good layout
>unfortunately the browser is based on Chromium which means I can't customize it the way I want it like I've been doing the past decade with Firefox
>into the trash it goes

It's actually based on CEF and .Net so there's room for some customisation (but not as much as Firefox).
Also while it's nice that it flushes memory every so often that memory remains committed. Since it's never freed there's no real benefit from doing it.
this thing can't even import bookmarks. sticking with avant browser.
