I'd be OK with killing off the headphone jack if a) they replaced it with a standard like USB type c and b) phones started coming with two USB type c ports so you can listen to music while charging your phone/having something else plugged into it. Although the only real benefit I can see would be "smart" headphones that can communicate more with the device over the USB type c port, something most people won't use.

I don't even care, what works for them is what works for them, but all of the shit swirling around online "yes good/no bad || HIGH SALES/NO LOW SALES Just Marketing skews" is weird.
Outside, I see them rarely.

I think that the sales numbers more accurately reflect that the iPhone 5 and 5S perform like dogshit on newer iOS releases and the batteries on iPhones start to tank right after the first year like crazy. Preorders may represent initial volume for the critical holiday quarter for Apple, but I think they'll fall dramatically in time.

Overall sales will probably disappoint apple and fanboys, but not be catastrophic like many naysayers say.

I've had four iPhones for work and the removal of the headphone jack is the last straw. Android in 2016 is far different from Android in 2012, and now iOS feels like the crippled OS without any of the benefits that should entail.
