I'm disgusted at myself for using firefox for so long because of some UI preferences when everything else about it is worse.

What extensions and flags are you using? Any other tweaks? I never want to use firefox again.

Does it have vertical tabs or gestures or send to functionality or customization of any kind yet?
>>

I couldn't take a full page screenshot with that extension on the extension page, so I unchecked them all to fit.

>>56615657
Thanks, added that download box.

I stopped using Chromium because I think there's a bug that's causing my computer to crash. I'm using Firefox for the time being.

In flags I always have:
-Material design hybrid
-Fast tab enabled
-Smooth scrolling disabled

I'm on mobile currently so fuck listing extensions.

Wish i could use chromium but the font rendering is atrocious and doesn't respect fontconfig.
>>
>>56617140
Is there anything you can do about this? I'm holding fontconfig at ver. 2.11.94. It's the last one I can get decent fonts with. The code changes were pretty significant and nothing I tried fixed things, so I'm keeping it until it starts breaking things.

What's the advantage of Chromium over Google Chrome? Or if there's no advantage really, why do you guys prefer it, at least?

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux,
is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component
of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell
utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day,
without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU
which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are
not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a
part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system
that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run.
The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself;
it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is
normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system
is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux"
distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
