I agree with you, but i Don't see them as worthless. I think they are perfect for the true, truly impoverished people, or for those who need an ultra low-power setup.

Of course, I would only run something like puppy linux on it.

Personally for the money you should have just got a regular 1U server. Then you could have added 4 hard drives, redundant power, literally takes up the same space, A pci slot. If you're trying to save money you could buy it second hand for half the price and got a quad core with 8 threads, upgradable ram.
