I was like I need a new monitor. Then I looked up monitors, and then I realized that there's a fuckton of monitors. Everyone is like, "tn is better for gaming but it's not". People throw in input lag vs response time vs contrast vs colors etc.
So what's /g's opinion?
Is tn's low inputlag just marketing?
I just want a really nice 100hz+ 27'' 1440p monitor to go with some pretty serious overwatch. Looking at mg278q mg279q.
I'm an nvidiot btw, but gsync prices are horrible, I rather want to support freesync even though I have an novideo gpu.
Korean 1440p ips monitor, such as a qnix evolution II, overclock it for 90+ frames.
Bye.
I'd get IPS if you can afford one with a low refresh rate

Eeer response time, you want one with a high refresh rate, or one that can be overclocked at least

VA for contrast and no backlight bleed/glow (mostly for media consumption)
IPS for "serious" image editing
TN for gaymes

I own one of these. OCs to 90hz pretty nice but it's also a pretty flimsy piece of shit. The panel isn't even fastened to the trim and moves around its plastic case. Not worth the money IMO unless you're crafty and can do something with it.
