I have, dualbooting with Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy currently because it just werks, I somewhat dislike the stock look of the current Ubuntu version.

The school I work at uses XP still, I'm in the IT department and I've suggested we use Ubuntu or RHEL but I always get looked down upon or laughed at. They said Linux is an insecure and an unstable OS that doesn't have 'real' software like MS Office or Photoshop. My co workers are computer illiterate.

In a VM to play gaems.

I work at a refurbishing company, we use old laptops with windows XP on them for a particular purpose. The rest of the computers are on windows 7

Internet Options settings are basically the biggest reason for most exploits in WinXP.
Disable everything, install that Harden It and Secure It to lock down every hidden service and add a new zone to IO and block everything there too.

Literally the only thing that has been on my XP Machine was 4chan.js so I could decompile it and have my own fun.
