M-Audio BX5 D2 vs KRK Rokit 6s.
Which are the better monitors based on your experience? This is for music production as well as gaming.

I have had the rokit 6s for years. They aren't great for mixing. They are huge. And there is interference with one of the speakers. I haven't heard the maudios.
I think the Equator D5s are the way to go.

Rokit 6 are bad for mixing but fine for general music listening. M audio is bad for everything
they're basically the same thing. i bet we could even trace those woofers back to the same factory in china.
the rokit's rounded cabinet edges are better for diffraction. both have shit directivity.
both of these are tuned for nearfield use only, and will sound like ass the moment you sit farther than 3 feet away.
I have the BX5 D2's and they sound OK. Not masses of bass like the Rokit's. The Rokit's sound very muffled to me. What I have found is that the BX5's reveal any flaws in a recording which may be a good thing or a bad thing. Mashups etc tend to sound horrible. Good for mixing.
