lately firefox has high cpu whenever a new address is opened, even if it's just a jpg or something it would max out the cpu for a few seconds

what do.
Get rid of that AMD 6300 Or 8350.

is it an unsupported architecture?

no just that although people will tell you theyre shit (Theyre not 100% ) theyre just not great. anyone that tells you they are, are fucking lying, amd just sucks overall.
Use Chrome instead of the shit that is Firefox.

Maxing out RAM instead of CPU probably isnt what OP had in mind, im a tab freak, i can max out 16gb of RAM with chrome since i do multiple things at once.
Check with a new, clean profile. Easy way: try Firefox Developer Edition, it will install side by side and not overwrite your Firefox install. If the problem doesn't occur using that, find the add-on or setting that is causing it, or start with a new profile.

Firefox with one tab open (this thread) uses about 200MB of memory. Is that normal?
I noticed that if you go to the about:memory page and repeated click measure, they RAM use skyrockets.. fucking why?
