Wohkd this be a good phone for rooting and installing emulators on? I remember always wanting to get one just for all the GBA and PS1 emulators I heard about and I imagine they are dirt cheap now.

It is, but its perfectly capable of running the emulators OP mentioned.
Assuming that's all you want it for OP, it should be fine. Just don't expect it to run many modern apps very well

Actually if there is a demand for it it could still be a bit pricey since its no longer being manufactured

drop it....it's too old....
working with boot.img with recovery is shit, only really well performing rom is GB based on stock (OLD), psx emulators work fine but I didn't get hw gamepad working
native emulator is a long story
just....get a moga like gamepad and any phone, it will be better
