Is 4k the end game? I don't want to start buying movies only to have to re buy them every 8 years or so

Of course not. Once technology progresses, 8K will be the next big thing. Well, we'll probably see 6k first. I know Apple already have 5k, but 4 -> 6 -> 8 seems logical.
Just fucking stick to 1080p.
I can barely tell the difference between 720, and 1080, 1440 or 2k less so.
4k gaming is some niche bullshit
We already have 4K on IMAX sized screens. There is no real advantage for home cinema beyond 4K other than epeen. Heck a lot of movies on 35mm film stock barely see any gains at 1080p.

They'll always make up new formats so you have to keep spending money.
You should just turn to a life of crime and pirate everything. Especially if you've already bought it in another format.

no matter what torrent you download the quality is always worse that buying
>Buying movies
You already need a pretty large screen to actually see the difference of 4K. I still have 1080 monitors, until there's an afforable card that can pull its current games at 60fps 4K I'm not upgrading.
