I use it to back up my phone's photos and videos that I record. Faster than plugging my phone into my computer and manually exporting everything.

Its now owned by the nz gubment so it might not be safe. They probably have a backdoor.

I just upload zip files so they can't see the data or really have to work for it.

BTW it doesn't have any advantages over Google drive/dropbox anymore. Its whole selling point was the anonymity and privacy but that's gone now.

Why not use one of those Chinese websites that gives you 36TB of free storage?

I like it.
Basically jumped from Dropbox - because it was full after my Space Race space ran out - to Google Drive - dropped because sync issues I couldn't find a solution to - to OneDrive - dropped because no proper Linux support and the Linux clientthingie I did find caused excessive writes to my SSD.
Now using Mega and being happy as a clam. While it lasts...
