Guess they are nice for elevating the screen to head height. But I don't use it as a desktop.

I use one at work, exactly that model in OP pic, branded Lenovo.

Its great otherwise I would not have my laptop screen next to the external monitor. Makes my work easier. I never felt need for it at home.

You're better off buying a laptop that has a docking station and get 1 for work and one for home.
