Just got 2 970s for $350. How good a deal is that? Reference model btw
Not too bad. I would've just got a 1070. SLI is hit or miss.

still better than any amd cpu :^)

Good one moron.

lol 970, that thing is probably shittier than a 460 now.
SLI is never as good as you'd think it should be. I would have spent that money on getting one good graphics card rather than two old ones.

I'm thinking of it as it was 2 for 350. I can easily sell the other one to get my money back. I'm upgrading from a 750ti so thisll be a huge boost for me anyways. As for reference, I feel the same way but it was 2 so I couldn't pass up
Are reference models really that bad? Why is everyone hating on them?

1070 is a bit too expensive rn considering the MSRP is $380
>>56583117
What would be a reasonable price for them? Sites I'm visiting are saying they have low stock and high demand. Considering getting a 970 for now and waiting until spring for a 1070 or 1080.

They run warmer, have louder fans and have lower factory clocks than non-reference models. So they're bad but usable for your average John and horrible for overclocking. The only time they're decent is that if you plan on using water cooling, and even then you might want high-end versions for more power inputs for better overclocking.

I would've preferred a 1060 6gb and saved the extra $100
>>56583134
Well if theyre in low stock the price is gonna rocket up for a little. A reasonable price for a 1070 to me would be around 400-410. The lowest I've seen was 430 but those are always out of stock. SLI 970s beat a 1070 but It depends on which programs support it.
