I probably will buy the new HD8. Hopefully the first run is sold out and any discovered complaints are fixed fast, if possible.

But judging on past releases, I'll wait for Cyber Monday as their newly released tablets do go on sale.

I need a cheap ass <$150 tablet so I can read textbooks on and that's pretty much it. Should I buy used?

Is the 1280x800p resolution a deal breaker when the tablet is mainly used for reading pdfs?

I want a tablet just for watching movies. I have an external hard drive, but watching on my phone absolutely kills the battery. 1% per 2 minutes of content. I thought a 1920x1080 tablet would be reasonable, but apparently that's not. What would be a cheap media watching tablet with great battery?

Got a Nexus 9, i mostly like it, though i was thinking of getting a Pixel C or it's successor.

Mostly because the keyboard options on the 9 are shitty, at times you really feel the 3gb of ram and despite hardware being powerful enough, developers are for some reason not ticking whatever box that makes certain games or software compatible.

Otherwise i might flip the table and get an iPad Pro 9.7" simply because a tablet i can draw on is quite appealing.

I'm actually in the market for a new Tablet. I need something to replace my 2nd Gen Nexus 7.

it's gotten beat up, bruised, and isn't running nearly as well as it was before (stock or with custom roms). Battery dying faster, WiFi has issues, screen all scratched up, etc. No real saving it.

I'm thinking of something smallish (sub 10"), but still an upgrade over my old Nexus 7 in terms of screen quality, battery life, and performance. And naturally, I'd like to keep it Android so I can reuse the same Apps I've bought.
