I started by using books.

It's not the way to do it, trust me. It's very easy to bend the metal bands and it's the 'known' way of adjusting the 600 headband.

It's very straight forward and slight, with zero risk. You can adjust as much as you want. Stretching them out over books etc just wears out the pads faster without actually stretching the headphones.

I'm a vr gamedev, so my wired headphones constantly knocking around against my headset gives me a headache after awhile (sound traveling up cable as I move around a lot). I need them to be closed back, so I don't disturb everyone else in the office. I'd like them to be less than $200, but feel free to suggest a little higher if nothing else exists.

A shirt clip wouldn't really help because of the nature of my work. A lot of the time I'll stand up and move around the room with a headset on, the long cable from the headphones scraping against the headset itself, my clothing, the floor, chairs, etc, all adds up and travels up the cable into into my ears. It's super loud and gives me a headache after a few hours. Super first world problem, I know, but still.

I'm pretty sure you can get those for a bit cheaper on monoprice's website, I got mine for like 2.99 + a few dollars in shipping on a sale a while ago. They don't have very much low end at all, but if you don't mind that then I think they're pretty good for the price. The only other iem I've had are the mee audio m9 classics, they don't have as good midrange and treble I think, but they have greatly superior low end if the person values that more.
