What are some non-meme-tier colleges that /g/ could recommend for CS or SE?

Gmu student here, I wish I could say my school isn't a meme.
MIT is an EE college now.
Their modern day CS program is a joke.

Ponytail algo guy will always be in my heart.

dude is 2016, being a drop out is the best thing you can put on your CV.
I swear to god, when recruters in networking events hear you are a drop-out they jizz their pants.
The scale goes like this:
Hardvard Drop out > MIT Drop out > Ivy League degree > Drop out > Everything else.

All the professors are memes at this school. Look at the video game design programs roster.
Berkeley, as long as you're studying through the College of Engineering, not L&S. I'm undeclared right now, but CoE EECS is looking pretty god-tier. Even if you want to go pure software, do EECS. The pure CS program is trash.

Or anything generally related to CS. It was my best option though for reasons I couldn't change. Kill me.

>undeclared
>not even EECS
haha, good luck being a cognitive science major.
It's okay though because it's still CS :3

L&S CS and EECS offer the same career opportunities unless you're going into EE.

WPI is decent, though I'm here for EE/CE, bit CS

Op here, thanks for the tip, I'll do some more digging. College in itself is kinda scary, cause I don't wanna fuck anything up

I'm at a big company and I can't believe how much CS trash is thrown my way. These kids have like 3-4 shitty startups and can't even implement a linkedlist. Some don't even know what a heap is.
All employers care about is certifications and past experience. Dont go to school m8

>Certs in CS
>good luck being an IT monkey

This is true. But look at grade distributions in CS classes as a function of college at some point. Look at the college composition of CS-related groups on campus. The CoE takes care of students on a level that L&S doesn't, and it shows.

idk if it's due to college resources that much since CS students can still take advantage of resources that EECS students have.
I think it's more like EECS definitely get a more straightforward piece of the pie, while L&S CS have to qualify into the major by Junior year while also taking weird GE classes. So the people trying to qualify into L&S CS have a much harder time.
