Is there any pass manager that syncs with any phone app? Trying to type all passwords and carrying a note on phone with all passwords is painful and doesn't look as secure as I'd like to.

I never write them down and I remember all of them. They're ussually between 15 and 20 chars.

The trick is to type them over and over, so that they come into your muscle memory.

I use the German word for 125. It's a long ass word but still easy to remember.

I can't even remember the passphrase I used for my database in the previous 3 month period and I'm not posting my current one. Ask again on Oct 2nd when the current one expires. I use diceware to generate 7 word phrases for my database, another phrase for personal pc login, another one for work pc login and a 16 number PIN for my phone. Websites all have random letter/number combinations (length = 36) that I mostly copypaste from the database.

Modern brute forcing is done by combining word lists with permutation/combination rules, random mutations, and also rule generators for simple patterns like 123qwe and so on. (The most used 1000 passwords or so basically all fall into that last category, btw)

At any rate, the iteration order is almost surely going to be very non-deterministic and I strongly doubt starting your password with zzz would have any impact.

Full-space brute force is not tractable at all, you don't have to worry about anybody ever attempting it (unless your password is literally only like 5 letters long)

I add "poop" to the websites name and 666 at the end.

I print n passwords of the desired character length whenever I need/want a new one and pick one I like from the output. Nothing important uses a repeated or weak password. Those that are important are changed regularly.

For passwords I actually have to remember (SSH password and and disk encryption password), a number of words randomly selected from the most common 1000 english words, all lowercase, no fancy shit.
