What would be a good GPU upgrade for 300€?

That's a good point, I don't think I really need to but it just seemed like a good time. It's ahrd to get a significant improvement without paying a lot more than what I originally paid for my 290/ these magic 300 but I'd take 10% extra for ~150 (new card - selling old card) to be reasonably equipped for at least another year.

I wish there was a 490 or something to throw into the mix but I'm definitely not willing to spend 1070 money or buy a 480 just because it's newer.

Also games like Witcher 3 or the BF 1 beta did dip below 60 every now and then (even though auto-detect recommended ultra, lel).

Alright, I bit the bullet and ordered the Fury. This should see me through 2017 I hope, it's not like I could significantly improve my system now without spending way too much.

You're honestly fucking retarded. There's no card besides a 1070 that will be a significant performance upgrade for you. Not sure about europoo prices, but hopefully you can get a 1070 for 350€ at some point in the not too distant future

If you're looking for a sidegrade that doesn't put out as many watts, get a 480 or a 1060.
