do you think this will be solved in your lifetime?
if we get something resembling a real quantum computer, i think it's likely. otherwise, no
i solved that as homework once it was pretty easy lol
>>56552596
Same
>>56552553
No.
And, quantum computing will arrive before we ever solve that shit.
>>56552553
P/N=P
N=1
Solved
>>56552553
P=/=NP
as long as N=/=1 and/or P=/=0. Otherwise P=NP.
>>56552553
penis=/= not penis
there
Maybe, but not by humans.
I think it's more likely that in my life time we will be able to create an AI able to solve it, than someone solving it.
>>56552670
I suspect not, it's not like it can even be proven unprovable as any such result would imply P != NP. There will probably be some progress on certain classes of algorithms which cannot be solutions but I'm not expecting to see the question resolved in my lifetime but that being said the solution for the Poincarre conjecture came not quite out of nowhere but near enough and I may live longer than would be currently reasonable to anticipate.
>>56552553
Trying to completly solve NP-hard problems is fucking useless and a waste of time. "CS" people should just focus on "good enough" solutions instead of jerking of to "muh exponential" and only O(n^14) or (3^365)*n complexity
>>56552553
Shut the fuck up about this and go do something useful
>>56552654
When are you getting your award professor?
>>56552553
yes. P != 0 and N != 0 and N != 1
>>56552656
The answer is obviously tree fiddy you fucking retards.
>>56552553
yes
>>56552654
>>56552656
>>56553045
xD I bow my head to you good sirs
How you came up with a joke so hilarious and original is beyond me :DDD
I hope somebody screencaps this and posts it on /r/4chan!

Greatest post in the history of this board, no Kappa.
Yes.
P =/= NP will be proven within my lifetime.
>>56553045
P! = 0 and N! = 0 are impossible. N! = 1 works for N = 0 and N = 1.
>>56552596
/thread
Doubt it.
