how the fuck do i fix this? the touch buttons dont respond at

i tried completing the circuit by bypassing those metal buttons and the unit seems to work fine. its just those grey connecty pads thtbdont seem to be functikning. did i done fucked up wiping them with alchohol?

Oh, I noticed common line on all those buttons. 4-directional micro joystick would be better

thanks guys. would it be difficult to house it inside a gameboy colour? its quite small. i just dont really know how to make the gameboy buttons hit some new small switches. sortof. i dont really know that much about buttons, but yes it all shares the same common line
