So I recently started using my old laptop again and I was wondering if it's a good idea to install windows 7 on it.
it's a 2010 sony vaio VGN-TX2XP
Thing is it only has 1gb of ram and idk if it can handle win7
>VGN-TX2XP
This model was released in 2006 how the fuck is it still alive
Anyways
Upgrade the ram to at least 2GB if that's a possibility or Win 7 just won't be a good experience
Win 10 might work it's a bit lighter
Good luck with drivers

Add more RAM?
ruffio placf

can't
crucial says that it can take up to 1.5gb of ram
Here are the drivers for Win 7 which should work on Win 10 as well
But hey since they provide drivers for 7 maybe they deemed it good enough for that OS despite the ram amount, give it a shot

Forgot to mention where 7 drivers are missing Vista drivers carry over

install gentoo
but seriously, 1gb ram and shitty processor won't give you a decent win7 experience. raw win7 in idle state takes up about 700mb. increase memory to 2fb and go with ubuntu
