Huawei Honor V8(NFC model) vs Huawei P9 vs HTC 10? I want the Honor V8, but the P9 seems to have more of an XDA presence, but the HTC 10 dwarfs both of them in terms of ROM development, and apparently custom ROMs are the only way to get a fucking vanilla Android UI with root and an SD card slot nowadays.

LG V20 looks interesting, but I think it'll be out of my price range.

I was going to get the OnePlus 3 or some other chink phone but the speaker, screen and lack of sd card slot really turned me off.

I would also prefer it to have the bootloader unlocked. I don't care about software since i usually root my phones, flash roms and rice them.

retarded core displacement on their newer flagship chips (10 cores, 2 decent ones and 8 garbage ones), much more power hungry than equivalent snapdragon offerings, shit GPUs, but most importantly no support whatsoever. I just got one at the beginning of the month. I am enjoying it a lot.

The camera button is nice, it has a noticeable half-press to focus, just like a point and shoot camera. Unfortunately, the button's placement is a bit awkward for normal phone use, your palm rests on it (and the volume button) when holding it in your right hand. When taking a shot in landscape mode the placement makes sense, though.

Fair warning: this phone has frozen on me twice already, and has had noticeable slowdown and stutter occasionally. My carrier installed a ton of shit though, so that might be why.

If anyone has advice on debloating I'd appreciate it.

Haven't gotten the chance to do real low light, but here is a shot from a dim restaurant. I've heard to get the most out of the camera you may have to dip into manual mode, which I'm not sure I'll bother with.

I haven't tried headphones yet but the front-facing speakers are great. I've heard they aren't as loud as some other phones, but I think they are loud enough at least.

No, the thing is I have fairly large hands, and the nexus 6 is ALMOST usable with 1 hand. I just can't reach the really far corner, but it's usually where the god damn option buttons are, in the left upmost corner. It's a god damn tease when I like fidget around my phone to try to grab the stupid button with my thumb until I give up.

I just want a fucking note again, so when I use it with 2 hands, I use the stylus. I was using it all the time, and 5,3 inches was pretty usable with 1 hand anyways.

Theres only so much things they can change for the iPhone 8. They will remove the home button and switch to an AMOLED screen. You should check for yourself if that's worth the wait.

I was in for the 7 plus. It's expensive but for me it was always worth the money.

Bought an HTC 10 and damn this sexy slab is pretty great. I just wish the LCD was more battery efficient and the LED flashed blue. Never had experiences with Oneplus phones myself, but two of my coworkers bought Oneplus Twos, and after an initial honeymoon with "muh specs" they've come to regret them. Hey guys. I was rooting my Nexus 5 today because i wanted to install an android N rom on it. First I tried to unlock the bootloader, but to my surprise it was unlocked. I probably unlocked it a couple months ago when I unsuccessfully tried to root it before. Then I installed TWRP and finally SuperSU. However, when I finished installing, my phone went into bootloop. Im holding it right now, the battery life is fine for me, unless you like having a bunch of background apps in the background while streaming videos. I've come to the conclusion after 4 months that the battery life is fine if, surprisingly didn't decrease more than 3% when I was playing a graphic intensive game (Modern Combat 5), It's better than most people think.
The only con of this whole phone is the little battery life, but then you have the TURBO CHARGER, short and thick, special USB-C. It literally charges from 0% to 100% in 52 minutes (I timed it). The charger is a huge boost and your Nexus will get back on it's feet in no time. Also I love that the notification LED is in the speaker, it changes color depending on the app. If you have a facebook notification, the LED will be blue, if its youtube, it'll be red. Etc.

The new LG V20 is looking very promising. The camera seems fantastic, it might not be as good as the Samsung Note 7's but it makes up for it with the dual lens.

The quad DAC seems really promising as well, but I haven't seen any comparisons, though the possibility remains that it could be godlike (and a deal breaker for me since I'm an audiophile).

I'm not too interested in Sony's line-up, even though I'm usually a Sony fag. They really need to step up there game, because design-wise their phones are nice and sleek, but when it comes to hardware and software their competitors outdo them.
