They hold their resale value better than PCs because normies are willing to pay a lot for used Macbooks. Also a lot of people prefer Final Cut Pro and other Apple media software. Those are the only non-controversial advantages I can think of.

As with anything people sperg out for and against anything. I personally am satisfied with my xps 13, though depending on what the fuck OP means by "multimedia" even the base version of it might be overkill.
