my only complaint is that they'll make headphones for IPHONE 7 w/ their silly connector and fracture the market.

that and i wouldnt be able to both charge my phone and play music though an AUX device, until they make a Y connector

can I not use my existing headphones with the adapter?

In the short term, its a way for apple to make money selling adapters and wireless headphones (either apple branded or third party paying royalties to use the protocols), also, potentially, repair fees when peoples charging ports break from having an adapter wiggling around in it all the time.

In the long term it could be a way to implement a cineavia style drm for audio output.

The no headphone jack port thing kinda urks me as someone who charges my phone while watching youtube, or listening to music via aux cord in my car while charging it, now I can't do both which sucks ass
I seriously hope this doesn't become the industry standard.
