Hard drive is dying, trying to transfer shit to a new one, it's very slow and usually crashes. Anyone dealt with this shit before?
Literally never had hard drive problems before and I don't have a fucking clue.
>crashes
Boot lincucks from usb stick, then:
dd bs=4k if=/dev/sdDISKWHICHISKILL of=/dev/sdNEWDISK conv=noerror,sync
No crashes then. Will still take forever.

Rsync is another option

Couldn't mount the drive in linux.
>Anyone dealt with this shit before?
No, because I'm intelligent enough to backup my data before the drive starts failing.
>>56520032
The answer is always restore from backup.

Where the fuck you see a mount command in what I said? Have I been baited again? :(

ddrescue (the GNU one)

dd is a great way to not recover your stuff if your drive is actually almost kill
