The problem are not apps using memory, but their bundled services and permanently running background processes that will never get kicked out of memory and leave less space for your own apps to run.

actually, hangouts came after the sms app did, and i have never used it in my life, im using the sms app which i have been using on 3 HTC devices, and my second Samsung now.

the microsoft apps can go fuck themselves. opening an excel file requires you to upload it to MS first lol.

and i seriously have no issue with Memory what so ever. sure it uses 1/3GB when nothing is running, but it makes zero difference in performance.

I just dont get what the complaint is. First people complained about bloat (which people relate to samsung) but you can if you define every non google app as bloat, call anything bloat, which is stupid and applies to all phone makers except the ones running stock android.

All phones will have extra apps of some sort, and complaining about the SMS application is a trivial complain, thats like saying whatsapp is bloat because you have facebook messenger installed. Also apps like sms and shit can easily be disabled and replaced.

I have yet to hear a single valid critisism of Samsung and touchwiz except for edge being a meme, and as an edge owner, ill tell you this, its a meme.
