Used Azureus until it went to Vuze, then went to Bitlord but they tried to virus my shit up with the 2.4 install.
What is the best modern torrent tracker?

I apologize, torrent program. Azureus was both a program and a tracker, so the two are blurred to me.

Qbittorrent with the search python plugin

Azureus did not go to anyone, they rebranded. If you use classic UI every single old feature works the same and none of new features even load.

If you want to seem cool, use the word client.
Don't use a bloated thing that eats up your memory. Some of the smaller ones include Transmission and Deluge. Of these two Deluge is a little more full-featured. I can't speak for Qbittorrent mentioned in post above but it sounds interesting.

See the thing with java is it has its own cache not managed by OS, so while Vuze core eats a fixed shitton of ram, every added torrent eats a just tiny bit more. Vuze manages 2000-3000 torrents for a total of 4TB with up to 1TB in a single torrent just fine when most other popular clients grind to a halt eating up gigabytes of ram or crash at half the amount or less.
