Hi /g/
I am trying to install Debian on my main desktop, as it works very well for me on my memepads, and I no longer play games so I decided it was time to fully convert.
BUT.
Youtube playback is choppy as fuck, no matter if I use chromium or firefox.
Specs are the following:
i7-4770K
32GB RAM
960GB SSD
HD 7990 6GB graphics
What should I do? I tried disabling hardware acceleration, but it is not working. Also tried free and non-free GPU drivers, but nothing changed.
YouTube only works right in chrome on lincucks
SUPERIOR OPERATING SYSTEM

I said I tried both chromium and firefox. Can't you read?

Chrome not chromium u fuckwit

Do you have flashplugin-nonfree installed? If so, removed that cancer.
I think firefox uses ffmpeg to playback html5 videos, so you need that also.

Gonna give this a try! Thanks.

There's no issue with youtube videos (or other videos for that matter) in chromium for me.

Apparently this is somewhat true. I am sorry man. But Chrome is still not perfect. It improved a lot, but there are still dropped frames, and the whole video is just weird.

Followup on this.
I tested
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNJdPyoqt8U
in both firefox and chromium on my chinkpad T430 with 8gb ram, integrated graphics, running arch linux. The 4k video is a little choppy, but the 1440p version plays without any issues whatsoever.
Something is very fucked up. My connection speed drops to 15000kbkps, which is not enough for 4K. On windows I have 70000kbps. One try I had that with Chrome but now it's back to being bad.
Uninstall Debian.
Install PC-BSD.
Let go of your systemd encrusted linshit

Rather not with an AMD card and a 4k screen. I have it on my x200t but would not use as a daily driver.
>>56514603
bullshit.
still couldn't get this cancer to work, I tried everything possible, but for whatever reason my youtube connection speed just won't go above 10-15000kbps, and that makes the buffer to run out. going back to windows on this machine, cba to waste more time on this.

Nicely fabricated shill. Plot-twist at the end.
In case you're no shill, try Ubuntu maybe?
